The Gold Room houses some of our oldest gold objects from the Bronze Age, the famous gold collars from the Migration Period and silver and gold from the Viking era. The Middle Ages are represented by the Elizabeth Reliquary from Marburg, the Dune Treasure, which is the largest medieval treasure in Europe, and the magnificent gold brooch from Motala River, to name but a few items. The objects illustrate the often staggering skill of ancient goldsmiths.
