Opis:
This is a raised passageway over one kilometre long which links Palazzo Vecchio to Palazzo Pitti, passing through the Uffizi Gallery. It was commissioned by the Grand Duke Cosimo I in 1565 on the occasion of the marriage of his son Francesco to Joanna of Austria, and was designed by Giorgio Vasari, the architect of the Uffizi.
