One of the most striking feature of the world’s fauna and flora is its great diversity, comprising about three million described species. In this showroom there only four hundred species are exhibited. The biological diversity is not only a certain number of species ("the sum of life" by Darwin). It is also a variety of communities of living organisms and ecosystems which create larger natural zones (biomes).
